Your Three Carts
Laguna Woods Village uses CR&R for weekly collection with three carts: Black for trash, Blue for recycling, and Green for organics and compost. Under California law, organics recycling is mandatory — so food scraps and yard waste belong in the green cart, not the trash.
When to Put Carts Out
Place carts curbside or beside your shared enclosure no earlier than 7:00 p.m. the night before collection, and have them out by 6–8 a.m. on collection day. Remove carts within 12 hours after pickup — usually by the end of collection day.
Holiday Schedule
Service may shift by one day around major holidays. Check with CR&R for the current holiday calendar.
